STEP 1: Assess your wants and needs.
Visit our Products page to determine your style and color preferences. Make a list of preliminary ideas and selections keeping in mind appropriate lead times. (See our FAQ page for lead time guidelines.)
STEP 2: Determine your budget.
Use the Kemper Budget Tool to determine your budget and allocate funds appropriately.
STEP 3: Measure your space.
View our Measuring Guide to indicate the general space and obstacles involved. This will give us a chance to visualize your design to provide you with an estimate. Keep in mind, the space will be professionally measured prior to ordering in most cases.
STEP 4: Visit our showroom.
Work with our professional designers to create your dream kitchen. Feel free to stop in any time, but walk-ins are first come, first served. Let us allocate time specifically for you by calling 815-398-1550 or email us to make an appointment.
STEP 5: Choose appliances appropriate for the space allowed.
Space allowances are finalized when cabinetry is ordered. Supply your designer with information to accommodate for your appliances, or be prepared to purchase appliances to fit the space allowed.
STEP 6: Sign off on final selections to approve the order.
Meet with your designer to review and approve the final revision of your plan. A deposit will be required at this time.
STEP 7: In-home measurements will be taken to place your order, if needed.
We will have your space professionally measured to verify your design before placing the order. Counter tops will be measured after the cabinetry is installed.
STEP 8: Prepare the contents of your kitchen cabinets for removal.
Allow adequate time to remove the contents of you cabinetry prior to installation. Do not remove the cabinets until the new ones are delivered.
STEP 9: We will notify you when your order is received.
You can either pick them up or schedule a delivery and/or installation at this time. Final payment is due when cabinets are delivered.
STEP 10: Remove and install the cabinetry. When completed, call for measurement of your counter top.
Any specialty sinks, faucets, or appliances should be available when installing cabinetry. Sink model information and special sinks or sink templates should be on site when counter top measurements are taken.
STEP 11: Your counter tops will be delivered and installed according to the product's lead time.
Consult with your designer about lead times and interim counter top / sink options.
STEP 12: Spread the news.
